Trust Me Im Lying by Mary Elizabeth Summer

NEVER JUDGE A CROOK BY HER COVER.

Julep Dupree lies. A lot. She's a con artist and master of disguise at St. Agatha High, where her dad, a seasoned grifter, sends her to rub elbows with the rich. To make extra cash, she runs small scams while keeping up a decent GPA. She's a fixer, and she's good at it—but she's ready to leave the grifting behind.

Then one day, Julep comes home to find her apartment trashed and her dad gone. Her plans to go straight are shattered. With help from charming classmate Tyler and her loyal hacker friend Sam, Julep races to find her dad, uncovering stalkers, family secrets, and threats that could send her into foster care. To save her dad and herself, Julep will need every grift in her playbook before his enemies catch up to her.

OK! If you didn't know, I love a good heist story, and this one checked that box for sure! I received an audiobook copy of Trust Me, I'm Lyning by Mary Elizabeth Summer from #NetGalley.  It was read by Elena Anderson and was 8 hours and 15 minutes long. This was a good listen. Anderson did a great job bringing the story to life and keeping me engaged. The story itself had good character development and a good storyline. It has a good amount of twists and turns, some more predictable than others.

Overall, a good book that I would definitely recommend.

Where have you been

You know when you get a great idea and then it just falls flat... Yeah, that was "See Steph Read." I completely forgot about the blog. 10 years later, here I am. Good gravy, life has changed, but my love for reading hasn't, so we are going to try things again.
